Contains:
*Potassium alum, whic is a natural anti-perspirant that is safe to use as an alternative to aluminium chlorohydrate, which is found in most commercially available deodorants. Is a rock of volcanic origin that is found in nature in the form of crystal. It is 100 % natural and can be used even on sensitive skin. Its use as a deodorant in its ability to regulate the secretion of sweat and destroying the germs that cause the unpleasant smell of sweat. The difference between using Aluminium chlorhydrate and Potassium Alum in Deodorant products: If an aluminium compound, such as aluminium chlorhydrate or aluminium zirconium, which is very soluble, is used as an antiperspirant, that compound is readily absorbed. Once in the body, the aluminium portion of the molecule ionizes, forming free or radical aluminium (Al+++). This passes freely across cell membranes, and forms a physical plug, that when dissolved is selectively absorbed by the liver, kidney, brain, cartilage and bone marrow. It is this concentration of aluminium that has been the source of concern in the medical community and has prompted the research being done on Alzheimer's disease and breast cancer victims.
Potassium Alum molecules have a negative ionic charge, making it unable to pass through the cell wall. They are not absorbed. This is why Alum is safe to use and will not cause high levels of aluminium in your system. Alum and Aluminium are two different substances, with distinct chemical signatures. They possess different chemical properties which create different chemical attributes.
*Farnesol is an odour-free, natural raw material extracted fromPalmarosa and Chamomile, which kills the bacteria that make our perspiration smell unpleasant. It doesn't close the pores or stop the natural process of perspiration.
*Lemon-Ester reduces the pH of the skin, making it more acidic and therefore less prone to growing bacteria. The effect of using Farnesol and Lemon-Ester lasts for 5-6 hours. Together with the potassium alum the protection time is doubled.
*Castor oil for extra hydration and insulation
*Witch hazel hydrolate has astringent properties and therefore helps in closing wounds.
*Tea tree and lemon essential oils for their antimicrobial and astringent action
